Description

Shortcrust rings coated in roasted, chopped peanuts, twelve to an order. Another fixture of the Soviet bakery counter, and one that survives on the strength of a very simple idea: a plain buttery biscuit and as many peanuts as will stick to it.

What they are like

Short, crumbly and salty at the edges from the nuts. Not very sweet, which is why they go so well with tea and why people tend to eat four without noticing.
